From Order Fulfillment to Leadership: Rylan Watembach’s Journey at Weisser Distributing

At Weisser Distributing, we take pride in recognizing and growing the talent within our team. This year, Rylan Watembach’s journey has been a true example of what growth and opportunity look like here.

Rylan graduated from the University of South Dakota in December 2024 with a degree in Finance. Unsure of exactly what career path he wanted to pursue, he joined the WD team in February as an Order Fulfillment Associate, where his attention to detail and strong work ethic quickly stood out.

By July, he was promoted to 3PL Project Specialist, where he took the lead on the EDI process with Gameday Social. Rylan was tasked with organizing a crew to coordinate purchase orders to meet store-specific requirements and execute shipments under tight deadlines; successfully moving over 90,000 units between June and September.

Now, just eight months after joining the team, Rylan is stepping into his next role as Receiving Supervisor. In this leadership position, he will oversee the flow of inbound and outbound freight across our Sioux Falls warehouse, ensuring efficiency and inventory accuracy for both vendor partners and clients.

Rylan’s rapid career progression reflects not only his dedication but also the culture at Weisser Distributing, where hard work and problem-solving are recognized and rewarded.
